In terms of networking, you've got to own the awkwardness of it sometimes and know that everybody that you are approaching, whether they will admit it or not...I mean if you approach somebody that you perceive having succeeded...they have had help. None of us have done this on our own. They were in that situation once as well.
There's no one right answer for how to make it in the business. I can give you all the rules, and someone else is going to break those rules and become a huge success. So don't be afraid to break some rules. There is no one right way to do it.
Every audition that you walk out of, forget that you did it. Don't tell anyone that you are going on it. For every person that you tell that you're going to have this audition, that's another person that you have to tell that you didn't get it.
If you are trying to get in through the front door with a job or a project and the front door is not opening.. try the window, try the basement, try the attic. There are a thousand ways to get through if you are persistent.
Be careful who you step on, on the way up because they will be stepping on you on the way down. As you grow, you give back.

When you take risks some of them will be mistakes and others will be a lesson. Eventually, one of the risks you've taken will grow you into the person you need to become.
